About New Age Healers

The New Age movement gained momentum in the late 1970s and early 80s. It is an eclectic belief system, led by spiritual teachers and gurus (mostly authors and lecturers), focuses on whole-body healing and positive transformation of the spirit and soul.

Dr. Caroline Myss, the best-selling author of "Anatomy of the Spirit" teaches the concepts of long-awaited teaching on "Sacred Contracts: and also her work with Norman Shealy, M.D., a Harvard-trained neurosurgeon and founder of the American Holistic Medical Association, has helped define how stress and emotion contribute to the formation of disease. She is the co-author, with Dr. Shealy, of "The Creation of Health" and author of "Why People Don't Heal and How They Can."

This issue of InSight Healing begins with the keystone to being in the NOW, meditation and spiritual healing. But For most of, what we struggle with the most was being able to trust information. What was right? What was wrong? Which healing processes should we perform? What path should we take?

New Age Guides warn us of the path of spiritual healing it offered was not an easy one. It required intense self-awareness, profound self-honesty, consistent daily practice and a willingness to expose the darkest realms of the human soul to the light of day. The Guide said that the task of our normal waking consciousness was to build a bridge between the highest and lowest parts of ourselves. We are required to dig deep into our souls in search of whatever dark, twisted forces roam within. As we discover these dark inner forces, our task then becomes one of calling upon the higher parts of ourselves to help us heal and transform these childish, self-centered, wayward aspects of ourselves.

Magdel Shackleton, Lawrence Edwards, Pia Vasanti, Sir Martin Brofman have written some great works on the entire issue of Healing through internal self and the perspective of New Age. Energy, Beliefs, Healing the Pain Inside, Reiki, Healing and Transformation etc. are some of the variety of topics covered.

In the words of "Magdel Shackleton":-

When a loved one made the transition from this planet to another dimension, we must 'allow' the person to do it. We must help the person to make the transition peacefully, harmoniously, lovingly and with grace. The biggest and best give you can give your loved one, is TO LET GO. Before you have done that, you stifle your own growth and that of the loved one. The loved one will be received joyfully on the other dimension, and will be in a position to give more love and help to you. Believe it or not, you can still communicate with each other although on different dimensions!!

Love, Light, Joy and Happiness will follow. It will replace the hurt, and will assist the loved one and yourself to soar to new heights where you belong. Turn your cheek to the Light in moments of grief and earthly loss of a loved one. Invite into your inner sanctuary your I AM Presence. LET GO. Go for the journey, for the unforgettable flight into a new dimension of Divine Love and Beauty.
